present perfect

The present perfect tense consists of have/has before the
past participle form of a verb.

Affi rmative
Statements
• He has worked
here for a long
time.
• She has been a
doctor for two
years.
Here are some
participles: worked
(work), been (be),
written (write).
Negative
Statements
• I haven′t
written
anything for
an hour.
Here are contractions
with not:
have + not = haven′t;
has + not = hasn′t.
